Wi-Fi Sense was originally a Windows Phone 8.1 feature now availbale with Windows 10 on PCs and Tablets.

This feature lets you share Wi-Fi network access with your Facebook, Outlook.com, and Skype contacts. It works in the background, automatically sharing networks you choose to share and downloading credentials for Wi-Fi networks your contacts have shared with you.

When you visit your friend’s house or place of business, Windows 10 can automatically sign you into their Wi-Fi if they’ve shared it with you  — that’s the idea.

It is designed to automatically share Wi-Fi passphrases between friends, eliminating the need for handing them over the old-fashioned way and typing them in by hand.

If don’t want your friends sharing your Wi-Fi network further, you’ll have to label it with _optout.
(eg. 'NetworkName_optout' like 'MyHomeNetwork_optout')

Sharing Wi-Fi Networks
To easily share a Wi-Fi network, enable the check box “Share network with my contacts” that appear when connect to a network (Networks --> Connections)

wifisense

Configuring Wi-Fi Sense
To customize Wi-Fi Sense navigate to Network & Internet --> Wi-Fi --> Manage Wi-Fi Settings

>> Can disable Wi-Fi sense / choose whether Wi-Fi Sense automatically connects (by default) / choose which types of contacts shares connection details with — Outlook.com, Skype, and Facebook contacts

>> Can also see known networks you’ve shared, and which you haven’t and share/unshare networks accordingly.

**There is also a controversial discussion on this feature as risk of exposing your network connection...
But Microsoft claims that this feature improves security and reduces frustration.

BitTorrent releases a fast cross platform photosharing app - BitTorrent Shoot

You have an iPhone, but your friend uses an Android phone. And you want to share photos from you. So here comes a new app to do this faster and reliable.

bittrntshare

This app is focused completely on sharing photos between platforms. So an iPhone can send photos to an Android phone or to a Windows phone (or vice versa,) instantly and easily, according to VentureBeat.

Instead of uploading the images to the cloud, the files are shared directly between devices.

The receiving phone scans a QR code generated on the phone that's about to transfer the files.
(even larger transfers should download quickly)

The app is free, but after you share your third batch of photos, there will be a one-time charge to keep sending more. Only the sender will be charged, it'll be free for the person on the receiving end.
